Course Overview: Sustainability literacy helps students understand climate change, environmental responsibility, sustainable development, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These issues connect environmental, social, and economic choices with the wellbeing of communities, ecosystems, institutions, and future generations.
This course explores climate risks, responsible consumption, pollution and waste, energy and water, biodiversity, sustainable cities, climate adaptation, renewable energy, green technologies, circular economy, sustainable entrepreneurship, climate leadership, environmental ethics, global policy, ESG, accountability, and practical sustainability action.
Learning Outcomes

- Analyze pollution, waste, natural-resource, biodiversity, and urban-sustainability challenges
- Apply climate-adaptation, resilience, clean-energy, and sustainable-innovation concepts
